POLICE raided a garage in Islington and discovered a huge haul of 20 cannabis plants with a street value of �7,000.

Officers seized the drugs from a property in Colebrooke Row, Islington, last Thursday – after obtaining a search warrant for the raid from Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court.

A 50-year-old man has been arrested and was taken to Islington police station.

Sergeant Christopher Scammell, of the Safer Neighbourhoods Taskforce, said: “Our officers are committed to making Islington safer by tackling serious crime, including drugs cultivation and dealing.
