A baby is still shaken up after a dog attack in Archway in which part of her nose was ripped off.
The attack on Saturday, September 6, in Tremlett Grove, which left the 17-month-old needing stitches, allegedly saw three people needed to restrain the Staffordshire Bull Terrier which was biting her face.
According to family members the owner of the dog, who was a visitor at the home, then threw the animal over the balcony of the second floor flat in Tremlett Grove before fleeing.
The dog has been seized and is currently being held by police.
A spokesman for Islington police said: “The 17-month-old baby girl was taken by London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital where she received treatment for facial injuries. She was discharged from the hospital the next day.

A 28-year-old woman has since been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury. She was interviewed and released on police bail until a date in early October.
