A 20-year-old woman is fighting for her life in hospital after she and two other young women were in collision with a car.

The three women – all the same age – were involved in the incident shortly after 4am on Saturday morning in King’s Cross.

Scotland Yard said there were reports of a car in collision with three pedestrians in York Way, near the junction with Randells Road.

The women were taken to a hospital in central London. The first is in a critical condition, the second in a serious condition, and the third is receiving treatment for a leg injury.

The car did not stop at the scene, but was later found abandoned after hitting a tree, a Yard spokesman said.

A 33-year-old woman has since voluntarily attended a north London police station and has been arrested in connection with the incident.
