Two men have been charged following the rush hour axe-attack on one of Islington’s busiest streets on Thursday (March 27).
An 18-year-old from Islington and another from Tottenham, have both been charged with GBH with intent, affray and possession of an offensive weapon to cause fear and violence in connection to the Upper Street incident.
They appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today (31 March).
Two men were taken hospital following the violence outside Islington Town Hall, one was treated for arm injuries and the other for stab wounds to the back.
