POLICE have arrested a teenager from Upper Holloway over his suspected involvement in last year’s protests against rises to university tuition fees.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested at his home on suspicion of violent disorder and criminal damage during the protest on November 24.

He is believed to be among dozens of suspects captured in CCTV images released by police following the disorder. It is the 57th arrest made in connection with the investigation.

The schoolboy was bailed to return to police in May pending further inquiries.

A 16-year-old from Upper Holloway was previously arrested on December 23, on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a police carrier in Whitehall during the protest.
