Eastenders actor and Celebrity Masterchef winner John Partridge will be switching on the Archway Christmas lights.

The star will be joined by Islington mayor Cllr Dave Poyser in Navigator Square at 5pm on December 2 to do the honours. From 12.30pm there will be Santa’s Grotto, Christmas market, Archway Bake Off, live music, face painting and craft activities.

The Nag’s Head lights will be switched on this Saturday from 1pm to 5pm. There will be choirs from Grafton Primary School and Holloway Seventh-day Adventist Church as well as a Christmas crooner and DJ. Entertainment will come from Drum Works.

And the day before the Archway event the Finsbury Park lights will be turned on in Fonthill Road – which will also be hosting a festive market from 11am to 6pm featuring street food and local designers. Whitecross Street will have its lights switch-on on December 7 from 3pm to 6pm.
