A visit from Arsenal Women’s skipper Alex Scott and BBC presenter Gabby Logan to Ashmount Primary School saw students making their screen debuts.
The duo were launching Super Movers – a scheme to help primary school teachers get their pupils active during the day with educational videos featuring stars from football and television. Part of the morning was filmed for BBC Breakfast, much to the delight of the students.
“There was a real buzz around Ashmount,” said deputy headteacher Lucy Walker-Collins. “The children were here at 7am which was very early for them, but they loved doing the Super Mover routines – and of course being on television and the radio.
“When they went down to breakfast club to have a break, all the younger children were in awe of the children who they’d seen on television. We were really pleased to be a part of it and are looking forward to using Super Movers in our classes.”
