Large crowds gathered to watch as a taste of West Africa came to Newington Green.
Dancers and performers representing Gambia and Senegal strutted their stuff in full costume on Bank Holiday Monday.
The audience saw ceremonies from nine different tribes, including one embodying Simba the lion.
Malik Jeng, who helped organise the event on behalf of arts agency Yaram, said: βIt was wonderful, a really fun day. The place was completely packed, it was massive. Everyone had a really good time.β
