THE sky was the limit at Ambler Primary School and Children’s Centre this week as an 8ft tea lady on stilts joined celebrations to mark the opening of the expanded nursery.

Stilt-walking Bridie entertained children and adults alike, dancing with her 7ft tea trolley and leading the little ones on a giant conga around the playground.

The nursery, which forms part of the children’s centre on Blackstock Road, Finsbury Park, now has an additional 20 places available for local families - 52 places in total.

New furniture, learning and play equipment has also been installed.

Juliet Benis, head of Ambler Primary School and Children’s Centre, said: “It’s fantastic that we’re now able to offer the wonderful care and education provided at Ambler nursery to even more families in the local community. We’ve had a really positive response to the news.”

Ambler Children’s Centre offers a range of services for children under five and their families - including care and education, health advice, training opportunities, stay and play sessions and parenting courses.
