A group of children spent the afternoon decorating cupcakes on Saturday (September 17) while raising much-needed funds for a kids cancer charity.

The event, organised by baker Paulina Byrne, was held at Le Regal, in Leather Lane, to celebrate national cup cake week, and gave youngsters to have a go at icing a selection of puddings.

Money from the day, and from the sale of cupcakes last week, will got to the Clic Sergeant charity, which helps support children, and their families, who are suffering from cancer.

Ms Bryne, 39, said: “It was meant to be just the children, but all the adults got involved as well. We had a really fun day, it was so nice, and great to raise money for such a worthy cause.”
