Law-abiding youngsters met the boys in blue at a school’s summer fair.

A crime-fighting career surely beckons for St Mark’s Primary School pupil Oscar Wong, five, who certainly looked the part – if a tad undersized – when he donned the uniform.

Police stopped by to host a stall on Friday, which also saw a “silly Olympics” contest featuring scooter and egg and spoon races, a bouncy castle, and a host of arty activities.

Ayesha Taylor, home support worker at the Upper Holloway school, in Sussex Way, said: “There were lots of craft stalls for children to enjoy, where they could make bags, get tattoos and have their nails painted. We also had races, a bouncy castle and a barbecue, and the police and Fire Brigade dropped in.

“It was organised by the parents and was a really good community event.”
