Three swimmers did their primary school proud at the London Aquatics Centre.
Cy Sherliker, eight, Joseph Glaser, nine, and Persephone Holloway, 10, of The Gower School in North Road, Holloway, took to the Olympic venue in Stratford on Saturday for the Independent Schools Association national swimming gala.
All of them qualified having won gold in the north London regional heats the previous weekend.
And though they couldn’t repeat that feat in the national contest on Saturday, principal Emma Gowers spoke of her pride at the results.
Persephone managed a bronze medal, while Joseph just missed out in fourth. Cy, who competed in two heats, finished sixth and eighth.
