Around 100 people gathered on Islington Green to witness the Mayor of Islington, Cllr Phil Kelly, and Rabbi Mendy Korer light the Menorah.

The celebration marked the third day of the Jewish Festival Hanukkah.

Rabbi Korer said: “It was a fantastic event and wonderfully attended, people of all ages came – more than we expected. The Mayor spoke beautifully and it was a really fun family day. We plan to do it again next year.”
