The Gower School has been making waves in the Independent Schools Association’s London north regional swimming gala.

It’s the fourth time the school has entered this competition, and the 22 children representing TGS won medals in two relays as well as eight individual ones.

PE teacher Jonathon Barradell said: “There were some nervous little faces among the squad, and with high standards from the other 16 schools competing you could understand why.

“The high level of swimming gave our students the opportunity to really test themselves against this calibre of opponents. With such talented swimmers we managed to win 10 medals, which is a fantastic achievement.

“We took our strongest ever swimming squad this year and we are now the second highest achieving swimming school in the region. Well done to every one of our talented children.”
