Baker Emma King and children (from left) Alix Simpson, Louise Spence and Paloma Charlesworth pose with their culinary creations.
Ms King, co-manager at GAIL’s bakery in The Broadway, Crouch End, taught the pupils from Ashmount Primary School, in Ashmount Road, Islington, to make a fast and cheap loaf of bread.
The event was organised through the charity Magic Breakfast, which runs breakfast clubs at schools to ensure children eat well.
Ms King said: “It was great to see the children having the opportunity to learn how bread is made and how fun it is to make.”
David Annand, from Magic Breakfast, added: “Having the right nutrition is incredibly important for children when growing up and studying at school.”
