Pop icon Leona Lewis left pupils starstruck when she returned to her Islington school and sang with the choir.
The former X Factor winner took a trip down memory lane at Ambler Primary School in Blackstock Road, Finsbury Park, for a BBC documentary shoot.
She toured the school to see how it has changed since her time and met staff members who were around back then.
But the highlights of the day saw the Islington-born songstress join in with the school choir and answer questions in a special assembly held in her honour.
Year six pupil Jordan Omorogieva, 11, said: “When Leona came it was one of the best visits that I had ever had. I got to sing and dance with her in choir and it was very lovely and exciting and I hope she can visit Ambler Primary School again.”
Headteacher Juliet Benis said: “What I really loved about Leona coming back to Ambler is that she inspired all the children to believe in themselves and follow their dreams.”
