Top comic Mark Thomas is doing an exclusive gig in Holloway to raise money for charity.

Mr Thomas, known for his acerbic political humour, will preview his new show, 100 Acts of Minor Dissent, at St Luke’s Church, in Hilmarton Road, on July 21, before taking it to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

All proceeds from the night will got to Housing Justice, an organisation supporting churches which help homeless and badly housed people.

The show will also feature a reading by writer Bob Boyton, whose new book is a novel about his own homelessness.

Alison Gelder, chief executive of Housing Justice, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Mark should have chosen us, and to preview his new show to boot. [This] is a vindication of our hard work.”
