Two arrested for stealing copper piping in Barnsbury

Two arrests were made by police investigating the theft of copper piping after two men were allegedly seen filling the boot of a car with the metal in Offord Road, Barnsbury.

Officer stopped a car in nearby Caledonian Road and a large quantity of copper cable and piping, as well as tools, were found in the boot.

A 22-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were bailed to return to police in February.
