A true hip-hop legend is heading to Islington in the New Year.
GZA, a founding member of seminal rap group the Wu-Tang Clan, will be playing at the 02 Academy Islington, in Parkfield Street, on January 31.
Also known as The Genius, he was born Gary Grice in Staten Island, New York, and is one of the most respected lyricists in hip-hop.
Along with fellow rappers RZA and ODB, he formed the Wu-Tang Clan in 1993.
Their first album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 chambers) has sold 8million copies worldwide and is considered a classic of the genre.
