A new scheme to help young people make the most of their cash has been launched.

Fit Money, a project led by the Islington Citizens Advice Bureau, is aimed a getting 16 to 24-year-olds living in social housing make their pennies go further.

The initiative, which offers free activities, workshops and support was opened at the Project Youth Hub, in White Lion Street, Islington, last week by Cllr Richard Watts, Islington Council’s executive member for finance. He said: “In these times of economic hardship it is important that young people are given help to manage their money and not get into debt.”
