A fighter has raised more than £750 for survivors of the tragedy in the Philippines.
Ben Wood, 35, who works at the MMA Clinic, Angel, Islinton, took part in the Kings Cross Thai Boxing Show last month and donated all of his purse to help those clinging on to life after their country was devastated by typhoons. He also encouraged friends to donate to the cause when selling tickets for the bout.
Mr Wood, of Pentonville Road, said: “It’s not much money but it will go a long way over there and hopefully make a difference.”
