Images of an award-winning £220million scheme set to transform Finsbury Park have been released.
City North, the largest development in Islington since the building of the Emirates Stadium, will bring 355 new homes alongside a cinema, a supermarket, a health and fitness club and other shops, restaurants and cafes to the area.
Developers United House and City North Islington Holdings say the complex, flanked by two 21-storey towers, will be the “cornerstone” of Finsbury Park’s regeneration.

It will also provide step- free access to Finsbury Park station as well as helping to upgrade the station as a whole.
Nick Stonely, managing director of United House Developments, said: “This site is an integral part of the regeneration of Finsbury Park.
“We hope to start work in the later part of this year and the first phase of the development could be finished by late 2017, or early 2018.
“We already have people interested in the retail units including a major supermarket and 1,500 people have expressed an interest in the apartments.”
A three-bed apartment at the development, which will be bordered by Fonthill Road and Seven Sisters Road, will cost between £632,000 and £1.5m, with a studio apartment priced at a potential £380,000.
The development will also provide 47 “affordable” homes within the complex among planted roof terraces and a tree-lined piazza.
With penthouses offering 360-degree views overlooking the city skyline and Finsbury Park itself, the scheme’s architects Benson and Forsyth scooped Housing Project of the Year at The Sunday Times’ British Home Awards before the first brick had been laid.
