A Finsbury Park church is holding an open day to fundraise for its flatulent organ.
St Thomas the Apostle, in St Thomas’s Road, has an ultra rare instrument made by famous manufacturer Monk’s of Holloway.
But after 127 years of wear and tear, the organ needs repairing as it leaks too much air.
As part of its ongoing fundraising, the church is holding the open day between midday and 5pm on Saturday.
It will be selling home-made food, vintage clothing, second-hand books and Christmas gifts.
There will also be live music and tours of the church. Entry is free.
Meanwhile, St Luke’s Community Centre in Finsbury is looking for Christmas Day volunteers.
The group, in Central Street, is hosting Christmas dinner for people who would otherwise be alone.
It needs kitchen assistants, entertainers and a minibus driver at times between 9am and 6pm.
