Finsbury Park community turns out for barbecue fun in the sun

Large crowds turned out for a sun-soaked barbecue last Saturday organised by local residents.

Revellers at Parkside Crescent in Isledon Village, Finsbury Park, were kept entertained by the Whittington Steel band, a bouncy castle, fire engines, face painting for children and live music with products fresh from local allotments available.

A new nature trail that had been built with help from the Forestry Commission and local associations was opened by MP Jeremy Corbyn.

Helper Emma Potter, said: “The day was a resounding success and we were delighted with such a large turn-out. It was also wonderful that Mr Corbyn turned up to appreciate all our hard work.”
