A PIZZERIA in Finsbury Park has been named in the top 10 in London by a top food critic.
Pappagone, in Stroud Green Road, was the only Italian in north London to be named in the list compiled by Daniel Young on his website Young and Foodish.
Mr Young said: “At family-friendly Pappagone, the flattened disks of dough are baked but not burned in the wood-fired oven to an end-to-end crisp. The result is just stiff enough to support the blanket layer of fior di latte that floats over the pizza with gooey abandon. A triangular slice can be folded in half but it will not sag at the tip.”
Pizza Metro Pizza in Battersea came in at number one in Mr Young’s list.
