More than 160 festive runners sporting antlers and flashing red noses descended on Finsbury Park for a recent charity event.
They braved a thick blanket of fog for the Reindeer Run which raised thousands for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
The event on Sunday, November 20, consisted of a 10K and a 5K run preceded by a warm-up session courtesy of London-based sports coach, Anthea Sweet.
RNLI mascot, Rookie the Reindeer, was on hand to motivate runners and greet the finishers, while water stations were provided by Anytime Fitness.
Samantha Kay, the charity’s events manager, said: “We owe a massive debt of thanks to every participant who took part.
“It was such a foggy morning so we weren’t sure if everyone would turn up as expected, but they were brilliant and the atmosphere was so positive.”
Funds raised through entry fees alone amount to over £2,800, but the figure will increase significantly as participants send in their sponsorship.
