A man had to be rescued after a blaze broke out in a block of flats last week.
Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters were called to the scene in a three storey terraced townhouse conversion in Stonefield Street, Islington, just before 8am on Wednesday morning.
Five people had already evacuated the building but one man on the second floor had to be led to safety by firefighters from Islington.
The fire, the cause of which is being investigated, was under control by 9am.
Around one quarter of the basement flat was damaged by fire.
