Four fire engines rushed to a house in Canonbury on Sunday (June 26) as flames raged through a three-storey building.
Around 20 fire fighters from Islington, Kingsland and Homerton stations tackled the blaze at a terraced house in Thorndike Road, Canonbury.
The brigade were called at around 4pm and had the flames under control by around 5pm, by which time a quarter of the roof and most of the roof space were destroyed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
