A derelict Chinese takeaway and the two floors above it were gutted in a fire overnight.
The blaze in Kings Crescent, Finsbury Park, broke out at around 4.30am and it took firefighters three hours to bring the flames under control. They remained on the scene dampening down the smouldering embers well into late morning.
At the height of the blaze six crews from Holloway, Islington, Kentish Town and Stoke Newington fire stations were on the scene.
A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said the entire ground floor has been badly damaged by fire. Half of the first and second floors, as well as the roof, were also damaged. Two people left the building before firefighters arrived.
Nobody was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
