A MAN suffering from smoke inhalation was rescued from a blaze in a five-storey building.
Around 20 firefighters and four engines were sent to Provost Street, Islington, last Thursday (April 14) at 3pm with reports of a second floor flat fire.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus saved the man from the flat and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Shoreditch, Islington and Kingsland fire crew members attended the scene and had the fire under control by 4pm.
