Fire destroyed a flat above a Finsbury Park chicken shop this afternoon.
Twelve people called 999 just after 3.45pm when smoke was seen above Roosters Piri Piri at the Blackstock Road junction. Four fire engines and 25 firefighters tackled the blaze, which the brigade said destroyed the second-floor flat.
No one is thought to be hurt but it took 45 minutes to get the flames out. Fire chiefs are still investigating what caused it.
