It was good to see Neil Kinnock, a former Labour Party leader, and now a local resident, signing the IHOOPS (Islington Hands Off Our Public Services) petition against cuts in public services (Gazette, January 27, “Lord Kinnock backs cuts protest”).
Readers can do this by joining our march on Saturday at 12noon outside the Odeon cinema in Holloway Road; lobbying the council at Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, on Thursday evening February 17; and by supporting the TUC march in central London on March 26.
– Gary Heather, joint chairman, IHOOPS, Mayton Street, N7.
