More than 300 people walked Islington’s 13.1-mile borough boundary line for a sponsored challenge as part of last week’s Giving Week.

Participants, who had to stump up £250 per team, sought to raise money and awareness though doing Friday’s walk, which took in sights from Farringdon in central London to Archway in the north of the borough, and amounts to a half marathon.

A free exhibition of photography by Eleonore de Bonneval capturing Islington Giving projects over the last two years also ran at Christ Church Highbury as part of the seven-day campaign, and there was a pub quiz at The Castle pub in Angel.

Islington Giving runs a series of projects aimed at tackling poverty and disadvantage in the borough.
