Almost all City of London Academy Islington students have signed up to stay at the sixth form after today’s GCSE results.
Among the highest achievers were Christian Anuyagu, who achieved five A*s and five As; Lindsey Robbin, who got one A* and eight As; and Michael Adegboyega, who achieved one A*, seven As and two Bs.
Principal Clare Verga said: “My sincere congratulations go to all students for their achievements. These results are a true testament to the hard work given by both students and staff and it has been wonderful to celebrate this with everyone today.”
Sonia Jacob, director of sixth form, said: “We are delighted for our students and are looking forward to them joining our sixth form in September, where we know they will continue to enjoy success and make excellent progress.”
