Magicians, bearded ladies and acrobats will all be at The Old Queen’s Head today for its annual Great British Fair.
The pub in Essex Road will morph in to a funfair of carnival activities and entertainment with a barbecue to boot.
The venue’s ground floor will host a plethora of including a coconut shy, hook a duck and strength test while hotdogs and hamburgers with all British ingredients will be served all day in the beer garden.
Upstairs on the first floor will be The Big Top where a ringmaster will be presenting a line-up of live folk music along with side show acts including a unicyclist, magician and acrobats with palm and tarot card reading by the Fairground Psychic.
The event will run from 3pm, with children welcome until 6pm and activities, games and music running throughout the day into the evening when DJs will take over to carry on the party through until 3am.
