Pupils across Islington find out if they made the grade in their GCSE results today.
Schools in the borough will be hoping to top last year’s scores, which saw 63 per cent of students obtain the benchmark five A* to C grades including English and maths, which was up a whopping 10 per cent on the previous year.
The day will be a big test for the Central Foundation Boys School, in Cowper Street, Finsbury, which celebrated the borough’s best ever GCSE results last yer – 80 per cent of their pupils achieving A* to C including maths and English.
