Daschund Gertrude came first in the “best small dog” prize at an event organised for four-legged contestants.
The champion sausage dog was praised for her sterling skills and good behaviour on a day that saw dozens of doggy devotees descend on the Drover Centre, in North Road, Holloway, on September 21.
Visitors were treated to demonstrations from the sniffer dogs and gentle creatures from the Pets as Therapy owners group.
Tina Baker, who organised the day, said: “Our Doggy Day was a great success.
“Anyone with a nice dog, or who simply likes dogs, who’d like a cup of tea and a natter followed by a stroll in the park with their pets, can come down to our weekly events at the centre every Friday at 3pm.”
