A scheme teaming aspiring youngsters leaving care with high flying city types has been given £10,000.
The Timebank City Opportunites Project, which aims to give under-represented groups access to jobs in the square mile, was handed the cash as part of a Team London grant from the Mayor of London Boris Johnson.
The project tries to give 16 to 24-year-olds who have been in care, one-to-one sessions with top bankers.
Mr Johnson said: “It’s fantastic that City workers are giving up their time to help young people boost their self-confidence and gain the skills they need to access education and jobs.”
