More than 1,000 children and families enjoyed fun, games and lots of sunshine at a playday.
The event at Paradise Park, in Sheringham Road, Holloway, last week saw youngsters and parents try their hand BMXing, arts and crafts, a tug-of-war and spend some time in Cardboard city.
Cllr Joe Caluori, Islington Council’s executive member for children and young people, said: “It is fantastic to see so many families trying out a wide range of free activities, from water candles and bottle rockets to building and racing go-karts.
“Islington Playday is a great event, and I lost count of the number of happy faces I saw there.”
The Playday in Islington is part of a series of events across the country which are held every year to highlight the importance of children playing.
