The Irish tricolour flew at Islington Town Hall for the first time in the borough’s history on Monday.
The event, in honour of St Patrick’s Day on Sunday, was witnessed by members of the Irish community, councillors, Mayor Cllr Jilani Chowdhury and MP Emily Thornberry.
Cllr Troy Gallagher, who was born in Letterkenny in Ireland, said: “This is a great gesture to celebrate our Irish population in Islington and the contribution they have made to our local community.”
