Murder victim Andrew Jaipaul’s brother accused of carrying a knife in a nightclub

The brother of a man stabbed to death in a gang attack faces court today accused of carrying a knife in a nightclub.

Charles Jaipaul, 26, of Birnam Road, Finsbury Park, was set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court charged with carrying a lock knife in Fabric Nightclub, in Charterhouse Street, Finsbury.

His brother Andrew was knifed 25 times on the Andover Estate, off Seven Sister Road, Holloway, in June 2011.

A second trial connected to Andrew’s murder is currently under way at the Old Bailey.
