TV star and former ‘Oxo mum’ Lynda Bellingham presented a new minibus to a special school.
The Loose Women presenter handed over keys for the wheelchair accessible vehicle to staff and students at the Bridge School, in Hungerford Road, Holloway.
The new bus was bought through a combined effort by cricket charity The Lord’s Taverners and supermarket chain Waitrose, who also arranged for the All Creatures Great and Small and Calendar Girls actress to make the presentation.
Lynda said: “It was fantastic. The staff and headteacher are superb. It is such a lovely school and I was very proud to give them another bus.”
Headteacher Penny Barrett said: “Being a special needs school, it is important we get out into the local community. The minibuses allow us to get pupils to engage with people in the local area.”
