Swimmers in Islington raised nearly £10,000 for Sport Relief when they plunged into the UK’s biggest fundraising swim in March.
Sponsors splashed the cash on more than 100 swimmers at Highbury Pool and Cally Pool at the annual Swimathon organised by Aquaterra.
Fundraisers completed 5km, 2.5km and 1.5km individual challenges or 5/1.5km team challenges at the pools.
Jason Curtis, Head of Operations at Aquaterra said: “Aquaterra customers and staff have been passionate supporters of Swimathon for many years. From families, to experienced swimmers and beginners, Swimathon is a fantastic way to raise money for charity and improve health and fitness at the same time.”
