The ceremony for Arthur Perry, father of Gazette photographer Dieter, took place at Enfield Crematorium on September 9 attended by his family, Cllr Catherine West, leader of Islington Council, and Jeremy Corbyn, MP for Islington North.

Mr Perry was involved in a car accident down in Hanley Road, Finsbury Park, the same road in which he was born, and died in hospital.

His son Dieter said: “He had a good send-off. There wasn’t a huge amount of people there, but like Catherine [West] said to me ‘it’s not he quantity but the quality’. He was a keen photographer and that’s why I got into it really. He always used to buy the Gazette and tell all his friends they were my pictures in there. He seemed really proud of that”
