Under-fire bosses of the Whittington are hosting a series of open days for residents to hear more about their controversial plans for the hospital.
Chairman Joe Liddane called on members of the community to “find out about the challenges facing the hospital and contribute to its future success” by joining the Whittington Weekends events, which will include guided tours and the chance to question staff.
Addressing those who marched on March 16, against the proposals to sell buildings, close wards and beds and axe staff, Mr Liddane said: “We’ve been so impressed with the passionate support that people are showing for the hospital. We’re saying don’t stop there, take a step further. Book your place on a tour of the site to find out more about why the Whittington needs to change to continue to serve the community as well as it has done for years.”
Places must be booked for the open days on April 14, May 11 and May 12. Visit www.whittington.nhs.uk/whittingtonweekends for more.
