Bernadette O’Gorman, a Paediatric Community Matron at Whittington Health, has been selected as a winner at the WellChild Awards – celebrating those who help sick children in Britain.

Ms O’Gorman has been with the Life Force team since it began, supporting families in the community with children who are at the end of their lives or have life limiting conditions.

She has developed the service from just a couple of members of staff to its current form with two psychologists, three respite nursery nurses, a WellChild nurse, and a youth worker.

She collected her prize last week after being nominated by her colleagues.
