A sea of flowers fills the place of Henry Hicks’ death following the teenager’s funeral which was attended by thousands on Wednesday.

The intricate designs which filled a stream of cars in Exmouth Market now decorate Wheelwright Street in Holloway where the 18-year-old was knocked off his scooter and died.

Arrangements reading, “my boy”, “son” and “brother” lay alongside a recreation of Henry’s trademark Louis Vuitton sunglasses and his picture inside a mobile phone.

The scene where Henry died in December, where he may have been pursued by police using blue lights, has since seen several vigils and graffiti in support of a campaign to speed up an inquiry into police involvement in his death.

Henry’s funeral took place at The Holy Redeemer Church in Clerkenwell on Wednesday afternoon. the same church where he was baptised and confirmed.

Last week the IPCC announced that four officers had been served with gross misconduct notices relating to Henry’s death.
