An organisation which gives some of Islington’s most vulnerable people a roof over their heads has opened a new community centre.
The Peter Bedford Housing Association, which has been housing people in the borough for 40 years, launched its new community hub and canteen in Isledon Road, Holloway, on July 22.
Richard Greening, Islington’s deputy mayor, cut the ribbon. There was also an unveiling of a hand-stitched quilt created by 12 participants.
The centre will offer workshops and group and peer support.
