A school flung open its doors at the weekend to put residents and students in the creative spirit.

Highbury Grove School played host to a variety of workshops led by visiting artists and A-level art students to promote drawing and creativity among pupils and the wider community.

Adults and children attended the event at the school in Highbury Grove, Highbury, which formed part of The Big Draw 2011, an annual month-long festival consisting of more than 1,000 events across the UK.
