A motivational speaker and serial beauty pageant contestant has lived up to her regal name by being crowned Miss Charity UK.
Queen Nworgu bagged the title after raising �481 for the Rainbow Child Foundation, which helps disadvantaged children and the brain injury charity Headway.
The 28-year-old, of Elwood Street, Highbury, said: “I thought I had no chance! It was really tough and I was absolutely amazed. I have been out in the street fundraising and I think the judges were impressed by that and could see the passion I had.”
She will now be whisked to Paris to do battle with more than 60 pageant winners for the title Face of Europe 2011. The winner will be chosen at a ceremony in the French capital on Monday.
